There is no comparison between the two - HandyCards is the king of flash card programs. Though I initially will use the single question - single answer mode, I like having all of the other features there when I decide to use them. The company has the best support I have ever encountered. I had a problem running the program after (what appeared to be) a clean install. I sent and email to support explaining the problem. I received a reply almost immediately. Following the instructions, I performed another install and the program worked perfectly. It doesn't get any better than that!" |

Quizzes can be created using a simple text-editor (notepad) or through a variety of other applications (HandyCards creator, MSWord, MSExcel). HandyCards data files can be used on the Pocket PC and on the Palm. If you are a medical student, there are lots of great medical science and USMLE data files available on the author's website and on a variety of other websites. I merge past test questions, multiple choice, with other Q&A questions, create a file per chapter, or aspect of study, and expand the files as new questions, or chapters come up. Handycards is the ultimate study tool. It even tests, and scores you, as you go through your cards. Leave your notebooks at home, and study anywhere. Fantastic Program!" |

| " I was looking for a product to help me study Spanish. I was originally fooled by the name of the company that produces this product, and thought it would only be good for Medical Terminology. WRONG!! This is a GREAT product! I had tried others that wanted you to send your Q/A to them to process and send back, but I needed something quick. Thanks to their Database creation utility, I had what I was looking for. I just type in my Q/A in a very simple format, convert it, sync and away I go. Estoy Apprendiendo Espanol! Gracias HandyMed! | " This is the most used software on my palm! Need I say more? I use it for studying Japanese words and phrases and it has really boosted my progress. It has a couple of nice functions such as reversing questions and answers so you can test yourself two ways, and of course random order of the questions. There is a couple of functions I really really miss though. That is why I gave it a 4 and not a 5. But there is a good chance these things will be included in the future. | " I found this to be a great product. This is my first experience upgrading the demo version to the full version and I was really glad I did! Once I figured out how to enter the data directly into HandyCards (rather than on a PC; I do have a keyboard for my Handspring though), everything went smoothly. (I have a Mac and there's not a way to convert a text file to a file readable by PalmOS, which is why I needed to enter data straight into my Handspring.) If you learn best by studying with notecards, but hate the time it takes to write them all out manually, HandyCards is for you! On top of the ease of using this program, the customer service I've received from the company when I had a problem was extremely prompt and very helpful. I sent an e-mail on Saturday morning and had a response in about 30 minutes from a human, not a letter generated by a computer. I used HandyCards this weekend to study for an Anatomy test I took today and it worked really well. No more 3X5 cards to get lost or crumpled in the bottom of my backpack!
